How to handle common classroom problems?

The most common problems that we have in a classroom are:
* Late Comers
*Troublemakers
*Cheating

I believe that as teachers we should have a lot of discipline and control in the class but there are some situations that not only depend on the teacher but also the depend on the student. In the case of students who cheat we should create activities that are difficult for them to copy or make them work by themselves ebcause sometimes when the students work in couples or group only one of them works and the rest just copies the information. Also we have to be aware of every student while they are doing the exam because I have seen that some teachers just give the exam to the students and they do not care either if they are copying or not. I also think that as teachers we should understand which are the techniques that students use to copy in an exam that way it will be easier for us to identify when they are copying and how to avoid it. In the case of the late comers we can follow 3 strategies that I found : talk to the group about it, get to an agreement with them and adjust the class. Sometimes this will be inevitable but we can some kind prevent it. In the case of the students who are troublemakers, some teachers recommend of writing their names on the board or sit on the corner which are the traditional actions that some take. In conclusion, I will say that as teachers it is hard to take care of all those situations and to deal with different kinds of personalities but all we can do is our best!!

How can we use VoiceThread in the classroom?

I think using Voice Thread in the classroom can be very useful for all the students because you can use not only show them images but you can also record the information with your voice and present it to your students. Also I was reading some information that said that this tool can be helpful if you have student with talking problems or students who are deaf that know how to use the sign language because you can use the webcam for those students. I also believe that this tool can be useful if we have a class with children because we can use it as a story-telling.
Teachers can also use this tool to make like virtual tours,for example, if your topic is "TOURISTICS PLACES" or "PLACES AROUND THE WORLD" you can show to your students the different places and can record in each picture some information about the place or you can also type it. I also think that this tool is useful not only for teacher but algo for the students,for example, if they have homework like book reports or timeline,this tool woould be ideal for those homework assigment because you can use your creativity and innovative. We can also say that VoiceThread can be use as an expository communication tool or even as an assessment tool, you can ask your students to create a VoiceThread since it is for free.

Comparison between Prezi and Power Point, which one do I prefer?

Having already used Prezi and Power Point, I rather stay with Prezi because of the applications it has. Power Point we can say that it is a little old fashioned and Prezi is very innovated and it has better visual effects. What I like about Prezi are the different templates that it offers and the designs are very nice; it's not like the typical Power Point Presentation that you move from one slide to another, it is like a 3D presentation.
We can say that they actually have a lot similarities because we can add videos to both of them or we can add images but I dont exactly know if we can add hyperlinks to Prezi but to Power Point we can. What I also like about Prezi are the effects that we can put to the images, it reminds me a lot of Instagram. Maybe the only disadvantage that I see in Prezi is the fact that for you to work on it you need to be online and with no internet you are not able to use it and that is an advantage with Power Point since you do not need to be online for you to work on it and you do not need to be downloading the document you only save it.
